What are we really optimizing for in ZK?
At the recent roundtable, ZEROBASE offered a production-first view:
ZK+TEE isn’t a compromise — it’s the most production-ready cryptographic architecture today.
When privacy meets performance and hardware, real-world deployment becomes possible.
We need to talk about proof verification.
Most systems still verify the proofs they generate themselves.
Even at ZEROBASE, we introduced two third-party verifiers — not as a decentralization theater, but for actual liveness guarantees.
Infra bottlenecks run deeper than prover performance.
Onchain verification latency and block time limits can break entire zk workflows.
Until this is addressed, decentralization is only partial.
It’s time to shift from infra-for-airdrops to infra-for-users.
The zk stack is mature enough for consumer-facing apps — it’s time we start building for them.
Looking forward: ZK+AI (Lagrange), post-7702 AA experiences, Validiums and darkpools are where UX, privacy, and security will converge.
Infrastructure isn’t built for headlines.
It’s built for what comes after them.
