Odaily Planet Daily reports that the hybrid Layer 2 project BOB (Build on Bitcoin) has announced the successful integration of the cross-chain interoperability protocol deBridge, making BOB the first Bitcoin Layer 2 supported by deBridge.
deBridge is a security interoperability layer for Web3 that enables the decentralized transfer of arbitrary messages and values across different blockchains.
This integration connects over 20 EVM and non-EVM public chain ecosystems (such as Solana, Berachain, Hyperliquid, Sonic, etc.) with the BOB ecosystem, allowing users to seamlessly transfer and convert assets and data from these chains through deBridge. This will unlock new liquidity routes for Bitcoin DeFi, breaking down barriers between the Bitcoin ecosystem and other public chains, and marks an important step for the Bitcoin network in building an interoperable ecosystem.
