On April 1st, April Fool's Day, $Sign @ethsign and the community joked about a "$Sign TGE info link." But it wasn't entirely a joke, because "大来" (Dà lái - *untranslatable, likely a reference to something specific in the community*) is real, and $Sign's token, $SIGN, is about to launch.

Three years ago, EthSign stood out due to the participation of many well-known VCs in its investment rounds, becoming the first and only project in which all three departments of Sequoia Capital jointly participated in the same round of financing.

But the VC-driven narrative is gradually losing its appeal, and a "renaissance" driven by the crypto community is on the rise.

At some point in 2023, co-founder Xin Yan @realyanxin suddenly realized that VC coins actually lack a real community. In an interview with ChainCatcher, he mentioned that to establish their own foundation, they must break away from the path dependency of relying on others.

$SIGN doesn't want to be the next VC coin.

Based on this idea, the team decided to remove "Eth" from EthSign and start doing their own thing. The community "Orange Dynasty" emerged, with members building the community in their own ways. $Sign's products also gained greater imagination in this process 🤟
