Metis Dual Chain Strategy: With MetisSDK as the foundation, Andromeda and Hyperion will reshape the Layer 2 infrastructure.

Odaily Planet Daily reported that in February this year, $Metis launched MetisSDK and announced the upcoming launch of Hyperion, a high-performance chain designed for AI-native applications based on MetisSDK. $Metis has made further strategic announcements regarding its dual-chain strategy. $Metis aims to provide scalable high-performance solutions for the entire blockchain ecosystem based on MetisSDK. Through the integration of the AI-specific layer Hyperion (HYPE) and the foundational layer Andromeda, it seeks to build a complementary Layer2 ecosystem.

Andromeda, as the first step for $Metis in building scalable decentralized infrastructure, has implemented a complete decentralized sequencer node architecture using Optimistic Rollup technology, focusing on general use cases (such as DeFi and enterprise applications) while ensuring security and decentralization. Hyperion, based on MetisSDK, is composed of components such as MetisVM and MetisDB. The $Metis SDK provides cross-chain development tools to achieve seamless interaction between the two chains; the $METIS token will serve as the native Gas Token for the dual chain.

It is reported that the Hyperion testnet is scheduled to launch at the end of April 2025, with the mainnet starting in August. Andromeda will achieve Stage 0 upgrade soon and plans to reach Stage 1 goals by the end of the year.
