Chronicle, the first oracle on Ethereum, has raised $12 million in a seed round led by Strobe Ventures. The funding will accelerate the development of the Chronicle network as real-world assets become more integrated into blockchain technology. Chronicle, originally part of the MakerDAO ecosystem, focuses on securing high-quality, long-term players rather than a large number of protocols. The team has developed Scribe to address high computation costs and emphasizes transparency and verifiability in its operations. Chronicle has processed over $20 billion in total value and is integrated into top RWA platforms and DeFi protocols. The project aims to expand into traditional finance, addressing the trust issues in tokenized assets by providing real-time access to underlying reserves.
