According to reports from Bloomberg, cryptocurrency billionaire Jed McCaleb is betting $1 billion on his space startup Vast Space, which plans to build the world's first commercial space station and launch it into orbit. If all goes well, Vast Space is expected to win a multi-billion dollar contract from NASA next year to replace the International Space Station, which will be decommissioned in 2030. McCaleb, who previously founded Mt. Gox, Ripple, and Stellar, is currently investing approximately $3.20 billion in funds primarily from the sale of XRP into Vast Space.
