ZKsync DAO's DeFi Steering Committee has decided to end its 'Ignite' token reward program early, citing market conditions and a strategic shift towards developing the Elastic Network. The program, initially set to distribute 300 million ZK tokens over nine months, will conclude after the first season, which ends on March 31. The decision comes as ZKsync aims to focus on its multichain Elastic Network, prioritizing seamless interoperability across its Layer 2 chains. The current bearish market and delays in technology development influenced this move. ZKsync is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, using ZK rollups to enhance transaction throughput and reduce costs.
