Artist Statement: 📜

The artwork I submitted is a piece I created using Midjourney and some post-production in Adobe Illustrator. When I was a teenager, I went on a family trip to Italy. We visited a museum in Sienna that had a large mural of a Knight of Sienna that I fell in love with. To this day, it is one of the most memorable pieces of art I've ever seen. I don't know why, but the image resonated with me so strongly and has stayed with me. Thus, when digital art tools with AI assistance became publicly available, I created a series of artworks that capture the essence of that Knight of Sienna. The artwork I submitted is from that series. It depicts a wide format scene in a fresco style (as in the original from Sienna) of a knight.
