Brief
@rise_chain is a next-generation L2 blockchain solution that aims to achieve 100k TPS and introduces a groundbreaking concept called Gigagas.

Despite its advanced technology, Rise Chain is accessible to everyone — from highly skilled developers to everyday blockchain users.
Vision
The team prioritizes understandability for all layers of the user pyramid and is committed to transparency in reviewing key metrics that reflect the blockchain's performance.

Additionally, the Rise Chain code is completely open source. Any user can access the source code on GitHub.

Rise Chain represents a transformation that paves the way for a whole new generation of blockchain applications.

Technology Metrics:
> Gigagas throughput: 1+ Ggas/s
> TPS: 100k
> Web2 like latency: <10ms

Technical description
Earlier, I mentioned GPS, which is one of the key concepts that Rise Chain embraces.

GPS (Gas Per Second) is a new measure of throughput that the Rise Chain team is actively promoting. This metric is calculated by dividing the total gas used over a specific period by the total number of seconds.

While this metric may be less known to users, it provides a more accurate representation than TPS.

Here is an example:
Blockchain X supports 1000 TPS, but there are no specifics here. A user could transfer $ETH, perform a DEX swap, or mint an NFT during a gas war. You won’t know if it’s 1000 ETH transfers, swaps, or something else.

On the other hand, if blockchain Y supports 10 Megagas/s, you can be sure that it translates to 500 $ETH transfers per second.

This metric is fair both to developers who are new to the blockchain and are familiarizing themselves with the development environment, and to users who are investing their money in the token.

To help you better understand how gas is spent, we’ve included a table showing which actions consume gas and in what quantities.
Architecture
Having analyzed the basic concepts underlying blockchain, let's move on to the architecture. You can see it in the picture below.

Execution
1. PEVM (Parallel Ethereum Virtual Machine) is an open-source smart contract execution system based on EVM that supports parallel execution of transactions. Its main purpose is to enhance the performance and scalability of the blockchain.

2. Continuous Execution is a concept that allows blocks to be processed and executed continuously, without waiting for previous blocks to finish processing.

State Access

1. Versioned Merkle Trees (VMT) is a data structure that tracks changes in data and ensures its integrity. The basic idea is that every change in the data results in a change to the root hash of the tree, making it easy to verify if the data has been altered.
Let me explain with an example:

You have 3 things:
• A box
• A lot of toys
• A piece of paper

Each toy represents information, and the box is a special tree that helps keep track of the toys.

On the piece of paper, we write down which toys we have in the box. When we add a new toy or remove an old one, we update the entries on that piece of paper. Each time you change something, you put a new stamp on the sheet that indicates all the entries are correct.

The seal is a hash. If someone wants to know what toys we used to have, they can look at the old records and see the previous seal. If the seal has changed, then something is wrong, and it may indicate that someone has tampered with something.

Reth
The RISE technology stack is built on top of Reth, a Rust runtime client created by @paradigm.

VC investments
The Rise Chain team was able to raise $3.2M in seed rounds from @ether_fi, @FinalityCap, @OrangeDAOxyz, @DigiAssetFund, @ether_fi, @PolygonVentures, @MH_Ventures, @publicworksfm

Very famous angels, and especially Vitalik Buterin: @VitalikButerin, @StaniKulechov, @sassal0x, @dcfgod, @sandeepnailwal, @notscottmoore, @samkazemian, @ASvanevik

Team
1. Co-founder - @sam_battenally
2. Co-Founder - @0xsashamai; Ex @KyberNetwork
3. CTO - @hai_rise

Ecosystem
At the moment there is no ecosystem around Rise Chain, as the project is very young and doesn't even have a Devnet, and Testnet is still more time away.

But the developers are not wasting time and are already collecting interested developers for the development of the ecosystem via a form on Twitter, so everyone can fill it out.

What the Rise Chain team will provide:
• Get support from our tech team
• Connect with fellow builders
• Access to developer incentives (more details tba)
• Stay updated on the latest RISE developments
• Participate in exclusive builder events and hackathons

Final Thoughts
Rise Chain breakthrough technology, explaining in detail to the average layman why it is what it is.

And the project is backed by good funds and Vitalik Buterin (he has only invested in 3 projects over the whole time).
