When will altcoin season return? The consensus is mostly: Q3
1. Aurelie Barthere, Chief Research Analyst at Nansen: Although a potential local bottom has been observed, the altcoin bull market first needs Bitcoin's price to break upward; altcoins are high-beta cryptocurrencies that only collectively explode when market sentiment is very optimistic. A breakthrough and a clear restoration of Bitcoin's upward trend are required for altcoins to outperform the market. The premise is that Bitcoin needs to break new highs in Q3 to inject new liquidity into the altcoin market;
2. Analyst Rekt Capital: Based on historical chart patterns, altcoins may find a local price bottom around early June, and they are perfectly following this plan. Altcoins bottomed out in early February. During the Bitcoin halving, altcoins faced sell-offs. Altcoins are expected to bottom out in early summer. Figure 1
3. Onufriychuk from Qubic Labs: Altcoins may bottom out around June. The lack of sufficient new liquidity for Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. and Hong Kong means that altcoin sentiment is closely related to Bitcoin prices. A local bottom does not necessarily translate into an altcoin rebound. Given the scarcity of new liquidity and the heavy reliance on institutional reinvestment in new projects, significant changes will require more fundamental shifts, such as increased retail and institutional investment and favorable regulatory developments.
