Another year has passed and we are now in 2025. We at Top Ledger have been hard at work in the ecosystem since 2022, which along with 2023 were difficult years for the blockchain industry post the FTX sage.

2024 has turned out to be a breakthrough year with multiple milestones:

1. Long awaited approval of the BTC Spot ETF and later the Ethereum Spot ETF

2. The re-election of President Donald Trump has given yet another fillip to the industry as a whole with news circulating about various pro-industry policies like strategic reserves, turning US to the crypto capital of the world and several others.

2025 promises to be the best year yet for the ecosystem as a whole, which makes it all the more exciting.

Background

A commonly received wisdom from the broader ecosystem has been to make a conscious effort to build in public. We will resume this habit having left it somewhere in the middle of 2024.

Our writings will be short, crisp and to the point starting off with the State of Solana 2024 which will shortly follow this blog post. State of Solana will be released in two formats:

1. A document which summarises the happenings of the year gone by “State of Solana 2024”.

2. A live page with a real time visualization of the state of Solana, free to view for the ecosystem.

Top Ledger’s arc

The first chain which Top Ledger indexed was Solana where we felt analytics was most urgently needed due to the speed of transaction execution, its infancy and lack of infrastructure on the data side. That was the reason for us to start with Solana.

Since we have been a part, the Solana community has grown multifold. It's been refreshing and extremely satisfying to have worked with some of the brightest minds in the industry. The feeling of belonging which exists in Solana’s community is infectious and gives us a lot of energy to keep investing time and energy here.

Beyond Solana, we now index SVM chains like Sonic and Eclipse. We’re deeply optimistic about the innovative use cases emerging across the ecosystem and are committed to keeping a pulse on all major programs within Solana—something that will be evident in our upcoming State of Solana 2024 report.

Now, talking about where we are headed as a company

We started off as a purely B2B analytics SAAS but have morphed into a one stop solution for anything data including:

1. Data repository:

a. we have indexed all of Solana ledger and account data from the genesis block which is available as parquet files, properly indexed by date.

b. We have indexed data of all programs in parquet files indexed by date from the genesis block.

2. Real time data supply:

a. We have scaled up our system to provide APIs serving real time data like OHLCs, DEX pool states, LP positions, historical account balances, etc.

3. Analytics SAAS:

a. With an awesome in-house team of engineers and data analysts, we support 20+ of the most popular projects in Solana and SVMs including the likes of Solana Foundation, Sonic, Metaplex, Helium, Raydium, Orca, etc.

4. Wallet Behaviour Analytics:

a. This can be used to analyse how wallets are interacting with different protocols and projects. We maintain over 50+ parameters against each wallet, including things like DEX & LP behaviour, airdrop holding periods, switching behaviour between Perps, etc.
