$BNB Smart Chain is compatible with Ethereum's virtual machine, allowing Ethereum-based applications to run with minimal changes. $BNB Smart Chain operates with a consensus mechanism called Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA), a combination of Proof of Stake and Proof of Authority. This enables it to process transactions much faster and with lower fees compared to Ethereum.

🔮 What its future might look like
$BNB Chain plans to boost its L2 solution transaction capacity to 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) and cut gas fees by 5-10 times. For context, Ethereum has a capacity of 15 TPS. This will help apps like gaming, AI, and DeFi grow by making them faster and cheaper to run.
