According to a report by Gamespot, the gaming development giant Epic Games is facing a class-action lawsuit for manipulating and misleading players (especially minors) with deceptive sales strategies in the Fortnite store. The plaintiffs claim that Epic Games created a "false sense of scarcity" and utilized fear of missing out (FOMO) to influence players during the evening. This lawsuit has been filed in a court in San Francisco, USA. Epic Games denies the allegations, stating that the descriptions in the lawsuit are incorrect and distort how Fortnite operates.
