Nonetheless, this statement does not apply to the issuance and sale of meme coins that do not conform to the aforementioned description or those that disguise products to evade the applicability of federal securities laws. Fraud related to them may be subject to enforcement or prosecution by other federal or state agencies under other laws.

 6. Hunan Financial Office Discloses a Virtual Currency Fundraising Fraud Case, Principal Earns Over 226 Million Yuan
 The Hunan Provincial Financial Committee Office disclosed a fundraising fraud case involving the GBC platform. Individuals including Zhou, Tong, and Wu commissioned Chengdu Xingyi Network Technology Co., Ltd. to design the GBC platform software for computer clients and mobile apps. The trio falsely claimed that GBC coins and wealth coins were blockchain virtual currencies, developing downlines in Zhengzhou's Jinshui District and other areas. At the time of the incident, the "GBC" platform had developed 47 levels of members, involving 59,548 member accounts, with funds flowing in and out totaling 3.41 billion yuan, of which 40,480 member accounts suffered losses totaling 629 million yuan. The principal earned over 226 million yuan through fundraising fraud on the GBC platform. Investigations revealed that the GBC platform system generated digital symbols out of thin air, possessing no economic value. The Zhengzhou Intermediate People's Court ruled that the involved individuals were sentenced to fixed terms of imprisonment ranging from fifteen to thirteen years based on the law.
