Deutsche Telekom has become a validator for Injective, a Layer 1 blockchain focused on DeFi, marking its latest venture into the crypto space. This partnership aims to secure the Injective network and validate transactions, offering validators a share of staking rewards and transaction fees. Injective, initially a Cosmos-based decentralized exchange, was incubated by Binance and is supported by investors like Jump Crypto and Mark Cuban. Deutsche Telekom, a major telecommunications company, has been expanding its presence in the crypto sector since 2020, operating validators on various blockchains and investing in native tokens. It also operates nodes for Ethereum, Bitcoin, and the Lightning network, and has launched a Bitcoin mining pilot using renewable energy.
