EigenLayer collaborates with Cartesi to explore innovative use cases in DeFi, AI, and more.

In January 2025, EigenLayer and Cartesi announced a partnership aimed at creating the next generation of decentralized applications (dApps) for mainstream users. This collaboration will combine EigenLayer's restaking protocol with Cartesi's Linux-based co-processor technology, providing developers with robust technical support to promote Web3 innovation and the adoption of end-user applications.

This partnership specifically targets areas such as AI, DeFi, gaming, and social networks, encouraging developers to build complex on-chain applications on the blockchain by reusing existing Web2 software libraries and tools. To this end, both parties will hold the third "Experiment Week" internal hackathon event from February 10 to 17, 2025, to inspire core developers' creativity, build innovative dApp prototypes, and explore new use cases.

Felipe Argento, co-founder of Cartesi, stated: "In the first two Cartesi Experiment Weeks, we witnessed many impressive projects. This collaboration with EigenLayer has me looking forward to future outcomes." Nader Dabit, Director of Developer Advocacy at EigenLayer, also remarked: "Cartesi's Linux-driven Rollup technology allows developers to use familiar tools to build complex on-chain applications. This event will fully showcase the potential of Cartesi's technology in Web3."

Through this collaboration, developers can not only leverage the security and scalability advantages brought by EigenLayer's restaking protocol but also achieve full compatibility with the mainstream software industry through Cartesi's co-processor.
