He added, "This will not change our confidence in the UK's growing role in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space," and that a16z is ready to assist the UK's ongoing cryptocurrency efforts.

Previously, news emerged that Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) was discussing refocusing on the US cryptocurrency industry after Trump released favorable regulatory news for the crypto market, reducing investments in the UK crypto sector. It is reported that a16z co-founders Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz have become supporters of Trump and have provided advice on tech policy.
