Solano stated clearly on the X platform that, although many people have approached them, this does not mean the company will take action unless a long-term and valuable deal for CryptoPunks is confirmed. Despite Solano denying the rumors, the news still led to a surge in market activity for CryptoPunks, with the series' floor price reaching 40.38 ETH, a 12.2% increase within 24 hours.

PANews reported on January 15 that according to Beincrypto, Yuga Labs co-founder Greg Solano publicly denied rumors that the company planned to sell the copyright of the CryptoPunks series. This speculation was originally proposed by NFT researcher Wale Moca and sparked widespread discussion and controversy within the Web3 community.
 Solano made it clear on the X platform: “A lot of people have approached us, especially in recent months, but this doesn’t mean we’re going to do anything. We will only consider it if we are sure it is a long-term and valuable deal for CryptoPunks.”
 Although Solano has explicitly denied the rumor, the news was still enough to drive a surge in CryptoPunks market activity. The floor price of the series is now 40.38 ETH, a 24-hour increase of 12.2%.
