Ripple is planning to expand the listing of its stablecoin, $RLUSD, to more exchanges, including Coinbase. Jack McDonald, Ripple's senior vice president, highlighted the technical complexities involved in supporting different blockchains and assets. He noted that while some exchanges have partnerships with specific stablecoins, Coinbase might broaden its support. Currently, Coinbase supports several stablecoins like $USDC and USDT. McDonald anticipates wider $RLUSD support by 2025, emphasizing the future dominance of institutional-backed stablecoin issuers. Recently, Bitstamp began supporting $RLUSD, which is approved by the NYDFS and operates on Ethereum and $XRP Ledger.
