According to Wu Shuo, the Beijing Business Daily reported that the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference, during which spokesperson Zhang Ming addressed the concerns of various sectors regarding the telecom network fraud issues related to Myanmar's northern region. As of the end of 2024, more than 53 thousand Chinese nationals involved in fraud have been arrested, and the notorious "Four Great Families" criminal group in northern Myanmar has been completely dismantled. Currently, cases related to the "Four Great Families" criminal group have gradually entered the litigation phase. Although significant results have been achieved in combating and governing these issues, the current crime situation remains severe and complex. This includes: an escalating offensive and defensive confrontation, with fraud groups continuously updating their criminal tools by utilizing new technologies such as blockchain, virtual currencies, and AI intelligence.
