In 2024, despite the decline in the NFT industry’s popularity, its revenue still exceeded last year’s $8 billion, making it the third-highest annual revenue in history. According to CryptoSlam, as of less than a week before the end of 2024, NFT sales had reached $8.72 billion, approximately $230 thousand more than in 2023. Although the total number of transactions dropped from last year’s 91.55 million to 70.89 million, the increase in unique buyers and sellers helped balance the situation, reaching 7.50 million and 4 million respectively. While the performance in 2024 fell short of the record $23.70 billion sales in 2022, it still exceeded expectations. Ethereum remains the top blockchain for NFT sales, contributing $495.70 million in the past 30 days. Bitcoin and Solana ranked second and third, generating $191.40 million and $107 million respectively.
