According to Hong Kong Radio Network, the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), Lam Fung-yi, stated that the SFC will announce the latest developments regarding the licensing of virtual asset trading platforms by the end of the year. Lam did not specifically respond to whether any applications for platforms were unable to obtain licenses due to not meeting standards, but revealed that the related report will summarize common issues identified during the application process. She emphasized that the SFC will continue to promote the standardization and transparency of the virtual asset industry while safeguarding investor rights, in order to facilitate the healthy development of Hong Kong's virtual asset market.
