The Bitcoin L2 project BOB has joined the Optimism Superchain ecosystem and received a grant of 870 thousand USD.

PANews, October 30 - According to CoinDesk, the Bitcoin Layer-2 project BOB has announced its integration into the Optimism Superchain ecosystem, becoming the first Bitcoin-native project integrated within this ecosystem. BOB is positioned as a "hybrid Layer-2" network, built on Bitcoin while being compatible with Ethereum, aiming to bridge Bitcoin with Layer-1 blockchains like Ethereum to make it a center for decentralized finance (DeFi). BOB will receive a grant of 870 thousand USD from the Optimism Foundation. This ecosystem has previously attracted Coinbase and Kraken to join and build their independent blockchains using the OP Stack toolkit.
