PANews reported on October 28 that Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, revealed that after a group of developers successfully implemented the popular video game "Doom" on Cardano's Hydra L2 solution, programmers are now working to get a Nintendo emulator running on Hydra. Hoskinson stated, "After completing the Doom deathmatch on the Hydra platform, our next goal is to get the Nintendo emulator running on Hydra." Previously, Cardano integrated Bitcoin liquidity into its DeFi ecosystem using BitcoinOS. Reports suggest that the addition of gaming features and Bitcoin interoperability aims to usher in a new chapter for the Cardano ecosystem; however, it remains to be seen whether this truly expands its scope beyond standard blockchain tasks.
