The New York Stock Exchange plans to extend the trading hours of its NYSE Arca stock exchange to 22 hours each trading day. The exchange stated that the new extended trading hours will be from 1:30 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. NYSE market chief Kevin Tyrrell noted that this move highlights the strength of the U.S. capital markets and the growing global demand for U.S.-listed securities. The NYSE will also submit an updated framework to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

PANews reported on October 26 that Eric Balchunas, an ETF analyst from Bloomberg, revealed on the X platform that the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) plans to extend the trading hours of its NYSE Arca stock exchange to 22 hours a day.  
As part of the Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE stated that the new extended trading hours for its fully electronic trading platform, NYSE Arca, will be from 1:30 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.  
Kevin Tyrrell, the NYSE market chief, stated, "The New York Stock Exchange's initiative to extend U.S. stock trading hours to 22 hours a day, seven days a week, highlights the strength of the U.S. capital markets and the growing global demand for our listed securities." He also mentioned that they will seek support from the U.S. securities information processing company for the expanded trading, and these changes will be accompanied by updates to regulatory rules. The NYSE indicated that it will submit an updated framework to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
