TapiocaDAO was likely attacked by hackers due to its team members downloading malicious software. This theft is also linked to other recent hacking incidents, including Nexera, Concentric, Masa, SpaceCatch, Reach, Serenity Shield, and MurAll, which may have been triggered by scams sending fake job offers. It is reported that stolen funds worth approximately 4.70 million USD have been transferred from Arbitrum to BSC.
