According to TechFlow news on October 12, informed sources and a regulatory filing indicate that venture capital firm Khosla Ventures has raised a $405 million special purpose vehicle (SPV) to invest in OpenAI's $6.60 billion funding round. Sources revealed that the SPV will consist of funds provided by Khosla Ventures and external investors. Venture capitalists typically support startups, but they also pool funds through SPVs to participate in later funding rounds. Previously, projects that Khosla Ventures has invested in include: Calimero Network, a NEAR ecosystem blockchain infrastructure company, Worldcoin, the investment application Seashell, and Chain (XCN), among others.
