Symbiotic Releases Update on X Account Theft Incident: Access to X Account Restored, Investigation Ongoing

Foresight News update on the Symbiotic protocol's X account breach: Around 06:00 on October 5th, the X account was compromised by an unknown threat actor, who started posting phishing page links imitating the Symbiotic website. Within 15 minutes of becoming aware of the attack, we initiated investigations and controls with the help of Security Alliance, independent security advisors, and X Support. According to our investigation, the incident did not affect the website or core smart contracts, and all funds remain secure. We are currently investigating our Google Workspace logs, possible reset processes, MFA settings, and company devices, but have not found any evidence of system compromise or employee credential leakage.
