The HMSTR token for the Telegram-based game Hamster Kombat has been launched, and a massive airdrop may put pressure on the TON blockchain. Trading of the HMSTR token began at 8 AM Eastern Time on Thursday. It is reported that HMSTR is listed on several centralized exchanges, including Binance, OKX, Bitfinex, and Bitget. Hamster Kombat stated that since its launch in March, over 300 million user accounts have registered to play the game. However, after Hamster Kombat announced that only 131 million of the over 300 million registered users were eligible to receive the tokens, some players complained on social media about the planned distribution method. The game's creators indicated that 2.30 million user accounts deemed as "bots and cheaters" were not eligible to receive tokens.
