The Yunlin District Prosecutor's Office in Taiwan recently uncovered a virtual currency fraud case, with victims suffering losses exceeding NT$134 million. The investigation has concluded, leading to the prosecution of 33 individuals, and it was also revealed that two police officers from Kaohsiung were involved. The suspects include two "runners" named Chen and Chen, as well as members of the Bamboo Union named Yu and his superior Wu. The prosecution stated that this case involves charges of fraud, leaking confidential information, forgery, and money laundering.

According to Foresight News and China News Service, the Yunlin District Prosecutors Office in Taiwan recently uncovered a fraud case involving over 134 million New Taiwan Dollars in damages to the victims. The investigation has concluded, resulting in the prosecution of 33 individuals, and it was also revealed that two police officers from Kaohsiung were involved in the case. In July last year, the police arrested a 30-year-old "runner" (referring to someone who specializes in withdrawing fraudulently obtained funds for scammers) named Chen, followed by another arrest of a 28-year-old runner named Chen, who was subsequently granted detention by the local court. The prosecution stated that one of the implicated runners, You, is a member of the Bamboo Union's Mingren Society, and his superior, Wu, oversees dozens of "runner" groups in Taiwan, managing up to more than 40 virtual currency wallets. The prosecution indicated that over 20 searches were conducted throughout the case, seizing more than 90 million NTD in cash and virtual currencies valued at over 50 million NTD. All 33 individuals involved have been charged with offenses including fraud, leaks of confidential information, forgery, and money laundering.
