Deep Tide TechFlow News, Georgia State Congressman Mike Collins disclosed in his financial report for July to August that he invested in Velodrome ($VELO), The Graph ($GRT), and Aerodrome Finance ($AERO), with amounts of up to $15,000 and $115,000 respectively. He partially sold $AERO on August 4th and repurchased it the next day. Collins is one of the few U.S. legislators actively trading small-cap tokens, having previously disclosed purchases of up to $65,000 in Ethereum.

In the 2024 election, Collins is seeking re-election, while other candidates such as Ted Cruz and Cynthia Lummis have also disclosed crypto investments. Trump supports Bitcoin mining in the U.S. and opposes central bank digital currencies.
