According to Foresight News, South Korean prosecutors have conducted the first investigation on former lawmaker Kim Nam-guk regarding potential illegal cryptocurrency transactions during his tenure as a legislator. Earlier reports suggested that former lawmaker Kim Nam-guk held virtual currencies such as $Wemix Coin, Mabrex, and $Bora, with a total value of up to 6 billion South Korean Won (approximately 4.48 million US dollars), raising public suspicions about the sources and purposes of his investment funds. He is also suspected of engaging in improper trading using undisclosed information obtained from the gaming industry to profit by purchasing coins at low prices.
