Deep Tide TechFlow News, NYSE Arca, a fully electronic securities exchange under the New York Stock Exchange, withdrew a rule change proposal submitted in January this year on August 13. The proposal originally aimed to allow options trading for cryptocurrency ETFs, including the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC).
Currently, U.S. investors can only trade ETF options that track the performance of Bitcoin derivatives, not ETF options that actually hold Bitcoin.
Despite NYSE Arca's withdrawal of the proposal, other exchanges are actively pursuing the listing of cryptocurrency ETF options, indicating the market's ongoing demand for such products.
