Wu learned that the stablecoin payment platform Sling Money announced the completion of a $15 million Series A financing round, led by Union Square Ventures, with participation from Ribbit Capital and Slow Ventures. Transfers on Sling Money can be made using Pax Dollar (USDP), which is a USD-backed stablecoin issued by Paxos Trust Company. The company previously received a $5 million seed round financing led by Ribbit Capital.
