The organization aims to reshape the relationship between cryptocurrency and presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris. According to sources, the New York Democrat will speak with cryptocurrency industry insiders and legislators at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Schumer was one of several Democrats who voted in July to overturn Statement of Accounting Bulletin 121 (SAB 121). Over the past year, the statement has sparked controversy as the crypto industry is concerned it could hinder banks from safeguarding digital assets. Meanwhile, a source familiar with the Harris campaign team said that candidate Harris has begun engaging with the cryptocurrency industry and expressed a desire to learn more about cryptocurrencies. Harris has not publicly disclosed her stance on cryptocurrencies.
