Foresight News reported that according to CoinDesk, the cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask has launched a blockchain-based debit card developed in collaboration with payment giant Mastercard and crypto payment expert Baanx. The MetaMask card will initially be offered in the form of a 'limited pilot of several thousand digital cards' to users in EU countries and the UK, with broader distribution later this year, 'fully launching' in the EU and UK, and more pilots in other regions in the coming quarters. Through this card, users will be able to directly make purchases using digital assets held in their self-hosted MetaMask wallets or assets held on their Layer2 network Linea, such as USDC, USDT, and wETH.
