Former members of the $TON Foundation, Ian Wittkopp and Inal Kardan, have co-founded $TON Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on investing in $TON blockchain projects, and have established the first $40 million fund. $TON Ventures will primarily invest in early-stage projects in decentralized finance, gaming, advertising/marketing, and regulated financial products, with plans to deploy this fund fully within the next year. Wittkopp stated that the deep integration of $TON blockchain with Telegram will drive the emergence of a new generation of billion-dollar companies, particularly challenging existing giants in areas such as remittances and banking services.
