Genesis Digital Assets Limited (GDA), a Bitcoin mining company, has launched a new project in Norsjö, Sweden, where they utilize the excess heat from one of their Bitcoin mining data centers to heat a local garage.
GDA has partnered with Muttern Fastigheter to initiate this heating project, redirecting the waste heat from the GDA data center to provide 90,000 cubic meters of hot air per hour at a temperature of 52°C in a 1,200 square meter garage. This initiative aims to address the urgent heating needs in Västerbotten County, where temperatures can drop as low as -25°C.
It is reported that GDA operates 20 data centers with a capacity of 600 megawatts (MW) and over 180,000 mining machines. (Bitcoin.com)
