Foresight News reported that Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, summarized the Ethereum block construction research as of August 7, 2024. "Everyone agrees that allowing multiple participants to contribute transactions that must be included in the block is a good idea; there is a public debate on whether it is possible to avoid the 'last mover.' It feels like the theme of block construction has seen the dawn."
