Harris softens stance on cryptocurrency, winning support from many crypto industry professionals

TechFlow News, August 1, Fortune reported that Kamala Harris is softening the Democratic Party's stance on cryptocurrency and has successfully won some support from Silicon Valley. Her connection with Bitcoin supporter and billionaire Mark Cuban and her invitation to the Bitcoin 2024 conference show that her campaign team is reconsidering the issue of cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, Silicon Valley is also re-examining Harris. Although many in the tech community turned against the Democratic Party during Biden's campaign, about 100 venture capitalists and founders, including some in the cryptocurrency field, have publicly expressed their support for Harris. These tech leaders who signed the statement of support said they support business, the American dream, entrepreneurship and technological progress, aiming to pull Silicon Valley and the business community back from Trump and his allies.

Here are six cryptocurrency venture capitalists who support Harris:
1. Ron Conway - Founding partner of SV Angel, which has invested in several crypto companies including Coinbase and Uniswap. He said Harris is a staunch supporter of the tech ecosystem and donated nearly $450,000 to his campaign.
2. Ryan Morrison - Partner of Founders Circle Capital, which has invested in Robinhood, which provides crypto services, and FalconX, a digital asset brokerage.
3. Rebecca Kaden - The first female managing partner of Union Square Ventures, which has invested in 24 crypto companies, including Coinbase and Dapper Labs.
4. Mark Cuban - Invested in 20 blockchain companies, publicly criticized Trump, and fantasized about Bitcoin becoming a "global currency."
5. Reid Hoffman — Co-founder of LinkedIn and partner at Greylock, has called Bitcoin a “transformative” investment and said supporting Harris is an investment in the future of democracy.
