Minima, a device-agnostic blockchain platform, has partnered with Influx Technology to integrate a blockchain-powered data tracker into a McLaren GT4 supercar. This technology was showcased during the British GT testing day at Spa-Francorchamps in June 2024. The data logger captures real-time vehicle data, enhancing race fairness by enabling quick compliance verification with competition rules. Additionally, Minima's blockchain is designed to be lightweight and decentralized, allowing it to run on mobile and IoT devices, promoting a more distributed network. This approach contrasts with the increasing centralization seen in Bitcoin's network, where major mining pools like AntPool and Foundry USA control a significant portion of the hashrate, raising concerns about potential transaction censorship.
