Foresight News reported that $Sui announced on Twitter that its mainnet will integrate the DAG-based consensus algorithm Mysticeti, and the upgrade process will unfold in several steps over the next few weeks. The official statement mentioned that Mysticeti achieved consensus on the testnet in 390 milliseconds, with a final settlement time of 640 milliseconds, reducing 80% compared to Narwhal-Bullshark. In addition to decoupling latency and throughput, this algorithm can maintain high throughput (even in cases of network and node failures). Furthermore, Mysticeti validators can sign and share blocks without authentication, and the submission rules naturally appoint multiple leaders each round, enabling more transactions to be included in blocks ahead of time.
