Kintsu, a liquid staking protocol on the Monad blockchain, has completed a $4 million seed funding round led by Castle Island Ventures. Participants included Brevan Howard Digital, CMT Digital, Spartan Group, Breed VC, CMS Holdings, Animoca Ventures, and several angel investors. The funding, initiated in May and concluded earlier this month, was structured as a SAFE plus token warrants. Kintsu, founded by Stephen Novenstern, initially developed a protocol for Aleph Zero but has shifted focus to Monad. The company plans to launch its sMONAD token with Monad's mainnet launch, expected this year. Kintsu aims to enhance Monad's DeFi ecosystem through its liquid staking solutions.
