Peter Thiel's Founders Fund has led a $15 million Series A funding round for Caldera, a web3 infrastructure platform that simplifies the deployment of Ethereum rollups. Caldera, which has now raised a total of $25 million, enables developers to launch application-specific chains with ease, using technologies like Optimism's Stack, ZKsync's Stack, Arbitrum Nitro, and Polygon CDK. The platform has supported over 50 projects, facilitating more than 59 million transactions across 1.7 million unique wallets. With the new funding, Caldera is developing 'Metalayer' to enhance the developer experience and improve scalability, efficiency, and security in the Ethereum ecosystem.
