Two individuals involved in the Forcount cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme, Antonia Perez Hernandez and Nestor Nunez, pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy in a New York court on July 22. They, along with others, are accused of defrauding investors of $8.4 million between 2017 and 2021 by promoting crypto trading and mining on Forcount. Juan Tacuri, another defendant, also pleaded guilty earlier and agreed to forfeit $4 million and properties. The case is part of a broader crackdown on crypto-related fraud, including high-profile cases against former CEOs of FTX and Binance.
