54% of Japanese institutional investors plan to invest in crypto over the next three years, citing portfolio diversification and high return potential as key drivers. The survey conducted by Nomura Holdings and Laser Digital involved 547 investment managers, including institutional investors, family offices, and public-service corporations. Key reasons for investing include diversification, low correlation to other assets, hedge against inflation, and high return potential. Most managers prefer to allocate 2-5% of their assets to crypto, with 66% choosing this range. Additionally, 25% of respondents have a positive impression of crypto, indicating an optimistic outlook for its future in Japan.
