Light Protocol and Helius Labs have collaborated to launch a new technology called "$ZK Compression," aimed at assisting applications within the Solana ecosystem to scale. This technology operates through state compression, allowing developers to store data in a lower-cost ledger space, significantly reducing storage expenses. While some Ethereum community members criticize this technology as being considered an L2 network, Solana's co-founder argues that this technology is an L2 network that does not require additional security measures.
