SIDE PROTOCOL Appoints DAVE HRYCYSZYN as Chief Technology Officer

SIDE PROTOCOL appoints former CTOs of CHAINSPACE and NYM, DAVE HRYCYSZYN, as CTO

ODAILY Star Daily reports that SIDE LABS has announced the appointment of DAVE HRYCYSZYN as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who will lead the development of the Bitcoin scaling layer. As the new CTO, DAVE will be responsible for the company's technical strategy and will lead architecture and development work aimed at enhancing Bitcoin's programmability for widespread adoption.

DAVE HRYCYSZYN has extensive expertise in distributed systems, blockchain scalability, computer security, and agile development. He is a co-author of the blockchain sharding protocol CHAINSPACE and the leaderless PBFT variant consensus protocol BLOCKMANIA. Prior to joining SIDE LABS, DAVE co-founded CHAINSPACE, which was acquired by FACEBOOK to become part of the LIBRA core team. Other core members who left CHAINSPACE went on to found CELESTIA and SUI respectively. DAVE then served as CTO of NYM, a privacy project led by A16Z.

In addition to his roles at CHAINSPACE and NYM, DAVE was also a co-founder and advisor of VEGA PROTOCOL.

Last year, SIDE PROTOCOL completed a $1.5 million pre-seed funding round with participation from institutions and individuals such as HASHKEY CAPITAL, KR1, CONTINUE CAPITAL, and SYMBOLIC CAPITAL.
