LAYER 2 developer ECLIPSE LABS has completed a Series A financing round of $50 million, led by PLACEHOLDER and HACK VC, bringing the total funding to $65 million. This round of financing also attracted participation from investors such as POLYCHAIN CAPITAL, DELPHI DIGITAL, MAVEN 11, DBA, and FENBUSHI CAPITAL. ECLIPSE LABS plans to utilize this funding to develop an Ethereum Layer 2 solution using the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), aiming to combine the high performance of SVM with the liquidity of Ethereum to provide a differentiated Layer 2 solution. The team's goal is to launch the final mainnet version in the second quarter of this year and has already released the development and testnet versions of the protocol. They plan to deploy well-known DApps including RARIBLE, PYTH NETWORK, and SOLEND on the mainnet launch.
