THETA LABS has announced the launch of the first phase of EDGECLOUD on May 1, 2024. EDGECLOUD is a distributed software platform designed to provide GPU processing power for developers, researchers, and businesses for artificial intelligence and video tasks. Leveraging the support of THETA EDGE NETWORK, EDGECLOUD has access to approximately 10,000 edge nodes, offering a total computing power of 77,538 TFLOPS. It also supports smart contracts, allowing for the registration of computing tasks on the blockchain. Additionally, the THETA team has collaborated with LAVITA.AI, FEDML, and GOOGLE CLOUD to develop an AI model pipeline for video-to-text applications. The launch of EDGECLOUD will enable AI developers to easily select and deploy popular models and utilize tools such as JUPYTER NOTEBOOK for development.

EdgeCloud also supports smart contracts, enabling the registration of computing tasks on the blockchain and their allocation to edge nodes in the decentralized computing network.</p>
<p>The Theta team has collaborated with Lavita.AI, FedML, and Google Cloud to develop an AI model pipeline for video-to-text applications.
